Float valves

We sell and replace float valves for fire protection tanks, drinking water and process water tanks.

Adjusting the water level in the tank

Always functional float valves in the tank

Sale and replacement service of float valves in water tanks. We offer valves with diameters from DN25 to DN150, but most often used in fire protection tanks. there are elements with diameters of DN50, DN65, DN80 and DN100. Float valves should be installed by specialist service teams.

Float valves for water tanks

Float valves are used to regulate the water level in the tank when filling or emptying. After reaching the set water level, the valve closes and remains in this state until the liquid level drops.

The valves are designed to operate under normal conditions of use. In case of special requirements, please contact the service department before placing an order.

Float valves have a permanent marking in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN19 standard. The marking facilitates technical identification and includes:
• nominal diameter DN (mm),
• nominal pressure PN (bar),
• designation of the material from which the hull and cover are made,
• an arrow indicating the direction of medium flow,
• product manufacturer’s mark,
• heat number.

A version intended for contact with drinking water with PZH certificate is also available.

Application

  • hot and cold water installations
  • neutral factors
  • industrial technologies
  • fire protection systems
  • heating

Product information

  • industrial water

Polvalve Athena float valve

The Athena float valve has a number of innovative solutions. One of them is a self-cleaning plug that limits the accumulation of dirt in the valve. The valve modulates and throttles the flow in proportion to consumption, and thanks to the pressure relief socket, it prevents pressure fluctuations in the system and thus protects against undesirable water hammering. Moreover, the valve can function in both straight and angular positions.

A version intended for contact with drinking water with PZH certificate is also available.

Application

  • Potable water,
  • Industrial,
  • Fire tanks,
  • Other water bodies

Product features

  • Body: GGG50 ductile iron
  • Plug, arm and float: AISI 304 stainless steel
  • Self-cleaning valve plug (patent pending)
  • Elimination of water hammer
  • Possibility of operation as a straight or angular float valve
  • PN16 standard; other pressure classes on request
  • Maximum temperature 70°C
  • Option: frost protection – possibility of installing a drain valve

Product information

  • Maximum temperature of treated water – 70°C.
  • Max. nominal pressure – PN 16 (please contact us for higher values). In order to avoid cavitation, it is recommended to use Δp 6.5 bar when installing an angle valve and 4.8 bar when installing a poppet valve.
  • Certified and tested according to the EN-1074/5 standard.
  • Flanges compliant with EN 1092/2.
  • Epoxy coating applied using fluidized bed coating technology, blue RAL 5005.
  • Changes to flanges and coating color on request

Specification

  • The ductile iron body with three outlets enabling both angle and mushroom mounting is equipped with a replaceable sealing seat and a stainless steel piston and a guide sleeve made of bronze.
  • Movable block consisting of main shaft, seal, seal retainer and piston with unique self-cleaning technology to reduce dirt build-up and reduce maintenance.
  • Made of galvanized or stainless steel, the lever mechanism is composed of a double rod (single rod for DN 40/50/65), which connects the shaft to the float using pins, thus enabling the valve to be opened or closed.
  • The large AISI 304/316 stainless steel float is connected to the lever mechanism by a stainless steel tube on which vertical pressure is exerted.
  • The valves modulate and throttle the flow in proportion to consumption, and accuracy and perfect watertightness are ensured even at low pressure values.
  • Thanks to the pressure relief seat upstream of the valve, the movement of the seal and the valve operation are not dependent on pressure fluctuations upstream of the system, which helps avoid transient and undesirable water hammering.
